The 2017 BMW 530i model comes with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that creates 258 lb-ft of torque and 248 horsepower. Every 540i model comes with a twin-turbo 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine, which develops 332 lb-ft of torque and 335 horsepower. Both models of this vehicle can be had with all-wheel drive, otherwise, the vehicle comes with rear-wheel drive. The standard transmission for the 2017 BMW 5 Series is an eight-speed automatic. According to BMW, the 530i can reach sixty miles per hour (mph) in six seconds, and it has been officially determined that the 540i can speed up from zero to sixty in 4.9 seconds. The vehicle has been crafted with lightweight high-strength steel, magnesium and aluminum to allow for this quick acceleration. You can feel free to put premium unleaded fuel into this vehicle's gas tank.

Design of BMW 5 Series

As indicated above, this sedan has four doors, and has room for up to five people. There are two trim levels--530i and 540i--available for this vehicle. All-wheel drive is available for the car. If you elect to purchase the 2017 BMW 5 Series 530i, then the following features will come standard for the car: 18-inch wheels, driver-selectable vehicle settings (throttle calibration, transmission response and altering steering), LED adaptive headlights, automatic wipers and a power tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel. The 530i also includes the iDrive interface (includes a knob/button controller and a 10.25-inch display), voice commands, premium vinyl upholstery, 16-way-adjustable sport seats and driver memory functions. An available M Sport package includes unique interior trim, a sport leather steering wheel, 19-inch wheels, a lowered suspension and unique body trim. There's also optional Gesture Control, which will let you use simple hand gestures to effortlessly control entertainment, navigation and communication to let you focus on your drive.

Is rear-wheel drive standard?

Rear-wheel drive is standard. However, you may opt for all-wheel drive instead if you would like.
